So we need minimum one decade of our life to reach at some meaningful destinations of our life journey, but keep in mind "Always feel your life everywhere in each condition." because,
I believe that Life is Marvelous if you you starts enjoying it, just feel the life-moments..!

Different Type of Servers and What They Do

-> Web Servers
At its core, a Web server serves static content  to a Web browser by loading a file from a disk
and serving it across the network to a user's Web browser. This entire exchange is mediated
by the browser and server talking to each other using HTTP.

-> Virtual Servers
A virtual server is a web server which shares its resources with multiple users. It's another
way of saying that multiple web sites share the resources of one server.

-> Proxy Servers
Proxy server is a server which acts as an intermediary for requests between the users
and the servers. Client connects to the proxy server and the proxy server evaluates the
requests sent by the users simplifies them and control their complexities.
A proxy server filter requests, improve performance, and share connections.

-> Mail Servers
Mail servers help in moving and storing the e-mail over a network via LANs and WANs or across the Internet.

-> Server Platforms
Normally used in same context with that of operating systems, server platforms are the
platforms that are under the hardware or software of a system and the hence in the
engine that drives the server.

-> Open Source Servers
Similar to server platforms, Open source server are referred to the underlying open source
operating system used in the IT infrastructures of the companies.

-> Application Servers
Application servers are a type of middle-ware which connects the database servers and the application users.

-> Real-Time Communication Servers
Also known as Chat Servers or IRC, and sometimes known as Instant Messaging (IM)
servers, these servers are meant to allow huge number users to exchange information instantly.

-> FTP Servers
This is one of the oldest of the Internet services available.
The FTP or File Transfer Protocol allows the users to securely transfer
one or more files of any size between two computers.

-> Collaboration Servers
In many ways, collaboration software, once called 'groupware,'
demonstrates the original power of the Web.
Collaboration software designed to enable users to collaborate, regardless of location, via the Internet or a corporate intranet and to work together in a virtual atmosphere.

-> List Servers
List servers lets users better manage their mass mailing lists like open interactive
discussions or one-way lists to deliver newsletters, announcements or advertising.

-> Telnet Servers
The Telnet server lets the users on to a host computer control and work on remote computers.

Password Myths We Should Stop Believing

1. A file, folder, computer, or account protected by a password is safe.
Read the rest of the post and learn why that statement is no longer true.
2. Your passwords are secure as long as you only deal with reputable online businesses.
Big online businesses that serve tens of millions of customers worldwide are expected to hold a treasure trove of personal information – the favorite diet of identity thieves.
Therefore, these companies are always in the crosshairs of the world’s most highly-skilled hackers.
Take these recent examples, for instance:
LinkedIn - A file with 6.5 million passwords from LinkedIn accounts appeared in an online forum based in Russia
Yahoo - 450,000 usernames and passwords from Yahoo! were posted online
Sony(Playstation) - This massive breach involved 77 million Sony Playstation user accounts containing passwords and other personal information.
Reputable businesses like LinkedIn, Yahoo! and Sony should be implementing the strongest security countermeasures available. But even these are not strong enough to withstand attacks all the time…
3. A password input box that obscures characters as you type hides your password from prying eyes.
The dots or asterisks displayed on a password input box are just meant to prevent people near you from seeing what you’re entering in there. How the password is actually stored or sent is a different matter.
4. “Strong” passwords are difficult to compromise.
Even if your password is long and complex (e.g. a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and other non-alphanumeric characters), if it is stored or sent in plain text, you’re toast if the hackers get hold of it.
Plain text means it can be viewed exactly the way it has been entered, using easily accessible tools.
For example, if your password is Super$ecretp@Ss, a free downloadable tool like Ettercap enables your password to be viewed exactly in that form : Super$ecretp@Ss. If, however, your password is encrypted, it means that it has been scrambled. It cannot be viewed using the same tool (Ettercap). It might be displayed something like this: xt%y&1sm^*gt;>2.
Unfortunately, many software applications still store and send passwords in plain text. That is why hackers still find the first three items. The next section is so effective.

5. Hackers use sophisticated tools to steal your password.
Actually, many successful hackers don’t require sophisticated tools to acquire passwords. Some simply use crafty conversational skills. In the highly publicized hacking of Wired Senior Writer Mat Honan, the hackers made extensive use of social engineering, a technique that relies heavily on the art of deception.

Nanostructured Glass : 5D Nano-Glass to Preserve 360 Terabyte Data For Million Years

A research group in Britain has recorded data into a crystal of nano-structured glass. This future storage with practically unlimited lifetime and capacity exceeding Blu-Ray’s by 2,800 times might save civilization’s data for aliens if humankind is gone.

A group of scientists from University of Southampton has developed a ‘five-dimensional’ optical memory, having experimentally proven a possibility of recording data into nano-structured glass using a high speed (femtosecond) laser, which creates self-assembled nano-structures in fused quartz.

The creators of 5D memory has dubbed their invention ‘Superman memory crystal’, following the ‘memory crystals’ used in a number of movies featuring the superhero.

The method is called 5D because in addition to the three dimensional position of these nano-structures their refraction and polarization characteristics work as two additional parameters.

The newly-developed storage promises unprecedented data capacity of 360 Terabyte for a DVD-sized disc. The maximum capacity of a latest generation quad-layer Blu-Ray DVD is “only” 128 Gigabytes. The largest heat-assisted magnetic recording hard drive (HAMR), yet to be commercially produced, will have about 20 terabytes per disc.

Glass storage could preserve data for millions of years whereas a DVD guarantees only about seven years of faultless playback.

The nano-structured glass remains stable if exposed to temperatures up to 1,000°C.

“We are developing a very stable and safe form of portable memory using glass, which could be highly useful for organizations with big archives. At the moment companies have to back up their archives every five to ten years because hard-drive memory has a relatively short lifespan,” said the head of the project Jingyu Zhang, pointing out that museums and national archives with their huge numbers of documents are going to be the first to benefit.

A joint project of University of Southampton’s Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) and Eindhoven University of Technology has presented ‘5D Data Storage by Ultrafast Laser Nanostructuring in Glass’ report at the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO’13) in San Jose, California.

The ORC’s physical optoelectronics group supervisor Prof. Peter G. Kazansky, follower of the Nobel Prize laureate for the invention of laser, Aleksandr Prokhorov, shared that “It is thrilling to think that we have created the first document which will likely survive the human race. This technology can secure the last evidence of civilization: all we've learnt will not be forgotten.”

Protect Our Body From Pain While Using A Computer

Protect Our Body From Pain While Using A Computer

A lot of us spend a quite a bit of time in front of the computer. Whether it’s for work, study or just leisure, sitting in front of the computer takes up a big chunk of our day. This is especially true for students, whether you study a computer heavy web design program or in more hands-on home inspection programs, there’s no escaping the computer life.
The fact that we are immersed in a digital world makes it all the more important to make sure we are taking care of our health while we’re getting all of our work done. One way to do this is by practicing good seating habits.
Adjust your posture as it prevents pain

How To Protect Our Eyes When Using A Computer
Must Note this points few points to protect your eyes when using a computer for more hours
Image
Our seating position in front of Computer

  1.  Clean your computer screen periodically to remove any dust, dirt or fingerprints. This can make it easier on your eyes, so they are not having to focus harder to see what is on the screen, especially if there is text to read.
  2. Keep the monitor about 20 to 30 inches away from your face. This range has been found to be the best distance for proper viewing and for reducing eyestrain.
  3. Use fonts and icon sizes that are easy for you to view and read. Avoid using small fonts and icon sizes as it can cause eye strain.
  4. Adjust the height of the monitor so that the top of the monitor is just below your eye level so that you are looking down slightly when viewing the screen.
  5. Make sure there is proper lighting in the room. Overly dim lighting or overly bright Lighting can cause strain to your eyes.
  6. Use an anti-glare filter on your monitor, to help prevent glare and reflection from lights in the room.
  7. Use a document holder for placing documents that you look at regularly, and Place it at the same distance as the monitor.
  8. One of the most important things you can do to protect your eyes is to take regular breaks. Taking several minutes to get up and not look at the monitor can greatly help in protecting your eyes and reducing any strain.
Another recommendation is to use an LCD monitor aka flat panel display. The older CRT monitors are harder on the eyes, due to the lower refresh rates and general design of the monitor. LCD monitors feature higher refresh rates, high enough that most people are unable to see the refreshing of the screen. LCD monitors in general are easier to view for longer periods of time and cause less strain on the eyes.
